The internet is an extraordinary tool. It has the power to change the way we live and we are already seeing that potential. With a few clicks of the mouse, you can follow the news, buy goods and services, and communicate with people from all over the world. It’s important to MissionTEC to help our customers maintain their privacy while enjoying the benefits that the Internet offers.
To protect your privacy, MissionTEC follows a number of principles consistent with worldwide practices for protecting customer privacy and information.
- We will not sell or give your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, credit card number or any other information to any third party.
- We will use modern security measures to protect your information from unauthorized users
We will ask you if we need information that personally identifies you (personal information) or allows us to contact you. Typically, this information is requested when you create a login for your registration on our website or when you download a document, request a quote, enter a contest, order an e-newsletter, or join a limited access premium site. We use your personal information for four primary purposes:
- To make the MissionTEC website easy to use because you won’t need to enter your information more than once.
- To help you find services and information more easily.
- To help us create more relevant content for you.
- To inform you of product updates, special offers, updated information and other new services from MissionTEC
If you choose not to register or provide your personal information, you can still use the MissionTEC website. But you will not be able to access areas that require registration.
If you choose to register, you will be able to choose the types of information you would like to receive from us by signing up for various services such as our electronic newsletter. If you do not wish to communicate with us by e-mail, postal mail or telephone about any of the other offers relating to MissionTEC and its affiliates’ products, programs, events or services, you may choose the option to opt-out of receiving marketing messages from MissionTEC.
We provide you with the means to ensure the accuracy of your personal information. You will have the opportunity to review and update the information at any time in the Visitor Center. There, you have the ability to:
- View and edit the personal information you have already given us.
- Tell us if you would like us to send you marketing information or if you would like third parties to mail you their offers.
- Sign up for the electronic newsletter about our products and services
Sign up. Once you register, you don’t have to give us your information. Wherever you go on the MissionTEC website, your information will follow you.
MissionTEC has taken significant steps to ensure the security of your personal information and to ensure that your choices regarding its use are respected. We take appropriate steps to protect your data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, alteration or destruction.
MissionTEC strictly protects the security of your personal information and respects your choices about how it may be used. We carefully protect your data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, alteration or destruction.
Your personal information will never be shared with companies outside the MissionTEC group of companies without your permission, except as described above. Within our company, data is stored in a password-protected server with limited access. Your information may be stored or processed in Europe or the USA or any other country where MissionTEC, its subsidiaries, affiliates or agents are located.
You also have a very important responsibility to protect your information. No one can see or change your personal information unless they know your username and password, so do not give it to anyone.
Notice to parents
Dear Parents and Guardians: We want to help you protect your children’s privacy. We encourage you to educate your children about safe and responsible use of their personal information when using the Internet.
The MissionTEC website does not display content intended for children.
If for any reason you believe that MissionTEC has not adhered to these principles, please notify us at “firstname.lastname@example.org”. We will then do our best to determine and correct the problem immediately. Please remember to put “Privacy” in the subject line.
As mentioned above, every registered customer has a unique profile. Each profile is assigned a unique personal identification number, which allows us to ensure that only you can access your profile.
When you register, we create your profile giving you a personal identification number, and send your identification number to your hard drive as a cookie and this code is assigned only to you. This is your passport to seamless browsing on the MissionTEC website, so you can download files, order free newsletters, and visit restricted areas of the site without having to fill out a form with information you have already provided. Even if you change computers, you won’t have to register again – just use your login to identify yourself.
Use of personal informations
When you register with us, you provide contact information, including your name and email address. We use this information to send you news, surveys to assess your satisfaction with our services, and announcements about new special services we offer.
From time to time, we ask other companies to perform limited services on our behalf. We provide these companies with the information they need to perform these services, and prohibit them from using this information for any other purpose.
MissionTEC may disclose your information, without notice, if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to protect and defend the rights or property of MissionTEC and its family of websites and to act in urgent circumstances to ensure the personal safety of MissionTEC’s visitors, its sites and the public.
